CARA BUT NO MARYNA? UGH!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, many of them

Going to Parsons is basically the only way (maybe not only but highly preferable way). Their programs are extremely solid and if you are commanding of yourself and in control and creative, you will have all the opportunities that Parsons can offer. They have amazing internships with not only different fashion magazines- but a lot of brands too, and overseas. If you are committed and not afraid to be vocal in your goals, Parsons will help you loads. A lot of people will tell you differently, but you really have to build a personal relationship with your professors. With that I mean, you really have to engage in discussions, ask questions, and often times do more work than required of you. Parsons also offers wonderful networking opportunities, and for free.
Hello! I would be happy to share, but please message me non anonymously. Only because there’s some details I don’t feel comfortable sharing on a public blog, the last thing I would want is to be in trouble or bring problems to my employer.
There is absolutely no truth to that what so ever. Anna is obviously a democrat, and heavily involved with getting President Obama re-elected, but she’s not about to take a note from DVF’s book and alienate half of the women of the US by being so ugly about things. It would be incredibly rude to order designers not to dress Ann Romney just because her husband happens to be a candidate Anna doesn’t support. Stupid rumor.
In the office, primarily clerical and administrative duties. Not even for the queen Anna, but for other managerial positions. I did get to work with Anna (not directly) quite a few times. Most of my work had to do with scheduling, calling, confirming, travel invoices, and even some research and analysis. For fashion week, the interns get to analyze and critique pieces from the shows we attend, but mostly we help senior positions finalize their written pieces. Backstage, there’s a lot to do in between shows. Mostly help out the staff in terms of check lists, timing, other shows, and in some situations getting a few words with a couple of models. Since fashion month has been over, I’ve been in the NY office.
Yes, I was able to go to NY/MILAN/PARIS Fashion week, and attend a few shows in each city. I had to spend a lot of time backstage doing not so glamorous work. But it made for a lot of observation time. I will be publishing my own confessions in the midst of submitted ones!
